Pleta Unhola is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and picturesque villages of the Pyrenees. Salardu is characterized by steep streets and charming restaurants under the Church of Sant Andreu declared a Historic-Artistic Monument and is one of its main tourist attractions, for its octagonal bell tower in Romanesque style. It houses the Christ of Salardú, one of the most important works of Aranese Romanesque.
The rich historical heritage of the village includes the small Romanesque church of Santa Eulalia de Unha, from the 12th century, which rises majestically over the surrounding Aranese houses. The bell tower, with an oriental air, dates from the 18th century, and has a very particular finish on the roof in the shape of a bulb.
